#31 Hackberry
This delicate ornament was carved from Hackberry wood harvested from my family home in Atlanta Georgia. The ornament is 5” long and 1.25” wide. The poor Hackberry tree gets little respect. Its sort of a dirty tree as it deposits a sticky goo on everything below and does not have any significant use for furniture. However, it carves beautifully and turns nicely on the lathe. So, give it up for the Hackberry!
